To edit your own website, you need access to the internet. You point your browser at your own website, click a 'Login' link and enter your user name and password.

At that point you will be presented with a simplified menu of options. A couple of clicks will take you to the page of content that you wish to edit. You make the changes you want, save the page and log out. The changes are immediately visible to all visitors to your site.

This sort of process can also apply to images that any page(s) use and to menus. Indeed, if you add a page to the site, a link to it will automatically be added to the site's menu. The whole process couldn't be easier.

It's also a secure process - without the password you can't get in.

Keeping a local copy of your website's content

With computers, we are all familiar with the need to backup essential data - or we should be. If you edit your website, you'll need to have the ability to save your changes - just in case. Well, with the CMS websites that I provide, there's a mechanism whereby you can download a single file from your site which contains all of your site's content and configuration settings. Downloading such a file each time you edit your site gives you a complete record of what's on the server. This file can be used to re-build the site if something unforeseen happens.

Even though this is an extremely sophisticated and easy-to-use system, there's always the ultimate fall-back of being able to call on my assistance.
